Team Bath judo players missed out on the medals at the World University Games in Russia. In the women’s under-70kg class, Megan Fletcher just missed out on a quarter-final berth in Kazan when she lost her round of 16 contest to Cuba’s Onix Cortes Aldama. Team Bath judo player Tom Reed scored the biggest result of his career by winning gold at the IJF Grand Prix in Miami. Reed beat Tuvshinjargal Gan of Mongolia with a golden score in the semi-final of the under-81kg class event.
