Sam misses out on main draw at US Open

Team Bath MCTA Academy player Sam Murray missed out on a place in the main draw of the US Open when she was edged out in a second qualifying round contest. Bath-based swimmer Stephanie Millward is celebrating an impressive haul of four gold medals from the IPC World Championships in Canada. Bath-based athlete Eilidh Child said she was delighted to help the British 4x400m to bronze at the World Championships in Moscow at the weekend. University of Bath student and scholar Katie Tomsett finished fifth in sailing’s World 470 Junior Championships and 30th in the seniors.
