Sam misses out on main draw at US Open

Team Bath MCTA Academy player Sam Murray missed out on a place in the main draw of the US Open when she was edged out in a second qualifying round contest. Strong Team Bath presence in England squad

Five members of Team Bath’s 2013 Netball Superleague winning squad were today (Tuesday) named in the England squad for the forthcoming international series against South Africa. And a total of 10 members of the 12-strong squad are past or present Team Bath players. Bath-based swimmer Stephanie Millward is celebrating an impressive haul of four gold medals from the IPC World Championships in Canada. Bath-based athlete Eilidh Child said she was delighted to help the British 4x400m to bronze at the World Championships in Moscow at the weekend. Olympic silver medallist and Bath-based swimmer Michael Jamieson has been named as an official Games ambassador for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. University of Bath student and scholar Katie Tomsett finished fifth in sailing’s World 470 Junior Championships and 30th in the seniors.
