Trampolinists claim World Championship medals

Two athletes who train at the University of Bath are celebrating medals at the Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships in Bulgaria. Laura Gallagher joined forces with Emma Smith, Kat Driscoll and Bryony Page to win gold in the women’s trampoline team final in Sofia. Silver went to Canada with Belarus coming third. Laura, who also finished 14th in the individual competition, only returned to action at the end of June after eight months out through injury....

University of Bath-based swimmer Lizzie Simmonds landed three medals and an English record at the penultimate leg of the 2013 FINA World Cup in Tokyo. Team Bath judo player Emmanuel Nartey has captured the second World Cup gold of his career, winning his class at the African Open in Mauritius. More World Cup medals for Simmonds and Allen

University of Bath-based swimmers Lizzie Simmonds and Sophie Allen added to their World Cup medal hauls with another medal each in Singapore today (Wednesday). University of Bath-based athlete Eilidh Child has been named Scottish Athlete of the Year for 2013. The London 2012 Olympic collected the honour at a scottishathletics and jogscotland dinner in Glasgow on Saturday night. Bath ITC swimmers selected for European Short Course Champs
