Brad Hall and Taylor Lawrence became the first non-German team to win a two-man medal in 2025 as they clocked a two-run time of 1 minute 41.63 seconds for bronze during the penultimate IBSF World Cup of the season in Lillehammer, which doubled as the continental championships.

Hall and Lawrence were back on the podium 24 hours later, this time with Arran Gulliver and Leon Greenwood, as British Bobsleigh secured a fifth successive four-man podium place of the season with another third-placed finish.

With one round of the World Cup to go, again in Lillehammer next weekend, Team Hall remain on track for overall medals as they sit second in the four-man standings and third in the two-man.

The results completed an outstanding European Championships for the British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association, for whom skeleton athletes Marcus Wyatt and Amelia Coltman won mixed team gold plus silver medals in their respective individual races. Matt Weston was also crowned as men’s Overall World Cup Champion for a second successive year, with Wyatt finishing runner-up in a historic British one-two.

The University of Bath is home to the UK’s only outdoor push-start training track and British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association athletes also do their strength and conditioning work at the Team Bath Sports Training Village. Click here to find out more.
