Megan selected for European Championships
Team Bath judo player Megan Fletcher has been selected for the European Championships in France later this month.
Fletcher will compete in the individual under-70kg event and is also a member of the British squad for the team championships.
Her selection follows some impressive performances at Pan American Open events in South America recently, where she won gold in Montevideo, Uruguay and followed that up with silver at Buenos Aires in Argentina.
The European Championships, which take place in Montpellier from 24 to 27 April, is the final ranking event counting towards England qualification for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Fletcher tops the current England Commonwealth ranking list for the under-70kg weight division for the Glasgow 2014.
Gary Hall, who also trains at Team Bath, has been selected for the European Team Championships. He recently won silver in the under-90kg class at the Pan American Open in Buenos Aires.
